The skill that I have acquired is how to speak a Foreign Language. I
have been living in the United States for 5 years. When I came here I
did not how to speak English it was so hard and frustrating not to able
to understand what people around me were saying. I took me a year to
learn the language and to be honest with you English it is a hard
language to learn because you write and pronounce different. However I
was hard but not impossible as everybody say if you want to be good in
something you have to practice a lot of. One of the things that
motivated me were my dad and my brother because they have to pass for
the same thing that I was going through. And after all they learned the
language and I knew that if they did I was going to do it too.
I
think that one of the things that I can applied for the skill that I
have in my writing, it is that if I want to become a good writer I have
to practice and do review over and over again every single essay that we
write this semester. This will help me not only to correct my mistakes,
but also it will help me to put my thoughts together. Also with
dedication and determination I will be able to write good essays.
I would love to learn a foreign language, preferably Spanish but I never have the time.
